Miller Church History

On the 28th day of October, 1895 the original Articles of Incorporation of Miller Church was signed by Hazzard Cramer, Lewis C. Wickiser, George Priest, Washington Miller and B. Smith.

From 1894 to 1902 we were part of the Albany Charge consisting of six churches.  The charge was part of the Central Ohio Conference of the United Brethren Church.  In 1910 Franklin and Miller Churches were the only ones left.

November 16, 1945, the United Brethren and Evangelicals joined to become the Evangelical United Brethren (EUB).  Miller Church was a part of the Ohio Southeast Conference.

In the 1950's the Ladies Aid was now famous for home cooked dinners and some time later our soup suppers became known.  And to this day you can find the soup suppers are quite popular with our neighbors!  It is a time of good fellowship for each and every one!

April 23, 1968, is when we became United Methodists and also became part of the West Ohio Conference.

On August 31, 1975, we broke ground for the sanctuary addition.  Much effort has gone into this project as we see it in its present day state.

Miller Church has gone through a lot of phases, but the trust in God and His strength to guide us, in one faith toward the future and all that it holds for us, is a great message for one and all!
